Initial Ideas

Tuesday 7 July 2009

After brainstorming various ideas for genres of film (e.g. horror, thriller, comedy, epic disaster, drama etc), we have decided that the easiest for the time restrictions, practicality and location that we have will be thriller.
We have allocated our roles, which are:
Billy - Filming, Producer, Acting.
Andrew - Filming, Storyboard.
Louise - Poster, Acting, Marketing.
Keira - Editing, Storyboard.
Junique - Poster, Filming.

We will all take part in the mood board and funding ideas as we feel these will be best achieved by a group effort, we will also all help with editing as this is an integral part of the production.

The general idea is for a stalker thriller, but we will challenge the conventions by our film (were it to be actually made) discussing the stereotypes we apply and how they can affect convictions and judgments in every day life. Due to this, our film would not aim to make the viewers associate and sympathise with only the victim, but to also see the suspects' side of the case.
Therefore, our possible 'taglines' in the trailer are 'who will you believe?' and 'guilty?'.

We are now going to walk around the area to look for possible places to film and start to frame some of our shots so we can include them in our storyboard.
Later, we will start to upload images and videos to contribute to our moodboard to show what has given us some ideas.

Signed, Group 3 :)

After coming back from researching different locations for our teaser trailer, we found some interesting locations to fit in with our trailer, these were...
Kitchen - Tea stirring
Fire Escape - high angle shot of stalker watching the girl
woodland and drive - filming girl walking in to her house (stalker watching her).
Cadogan House - Girls house
Bedroom - reflection of girl in the window
Side Exit - stalker in the shadow
Sports equipment container - Girls looking up as stalker looks down on her (silhouette of stalker).
Trees and outdoor greenery - to give an eerie affect
